Emergency Preparedness
Because our area is prone to flooding during rainstorms, the stake has asked that we be prepared for this contingency. Please review the attached information to ensure that you and your families are prepared in case of an emergency. Also, please share this information with any friends, neighbors, or family members who could potentially be impacted.
Mulberry-Emergency-Prep-3-18-23-Page-1 Mulberry-Emergency-Prep-3-18-23-Page-2A Mulberry Ward emergency preparedness specialist prepared a series of articles supplying tips, information, and planning tools to help individuals and families prepare for emergencies, gain resiliency and confidence in the face of adversity, and have fun doing it.
Our stake has collected and produced a wide range of materials to help with emergency preparedness, food and item storage, gardening, and much more.
The stake hosted a preparedness fair and supplied a great deal of excellent information about many aspects of preparedness. One of the items provided was a spreadsheet from a company called Generlink that makes and sells whole-home transfer switches. The spreadsheet listed many makes and models of electric generators, along with some basic specifications for each generator, such as wattage, plug types, etc. The worksheet linked above is derived from the spreadsheet the stake provided, but unlike the original document, this worksheet can be manipulated to help narrow down the kind of generator you want.
